DoE Presentation on Light Pollution Mitigation

The Department of Environment has offered to make a presentation to CASE on Light Pollution Mitigation in advance of the turtle nesting season. Light pollution is an issue that can be mediated by designers, builders and facilities managers so please feel free to invite your friends and colleagues to attend.

Please note CASE certificates will be issued to attendees after the event that can be used to count towards your 20 hours of Continuing Professional Development. Please do remember to RSVP as seating is limited. 

Free public parking is available off Humber Lane behind the Blue Sussex House on Elgin Avenue.

Governor's Award 2013

The Governor's Award program will be launched by His Excellency the Governor at a reception hosted by Cayman First on their 3rd Floor Patio on Thursday the 13th of June 2013, from 6:30pm to 8:00pm.

As you are aware the Governor has graciously consented to make the Awards prior to his departure so participants are kindly asked to start preparing their submissions as quickly as possible. Nomination criteria and forms will be available from the Governor's Award website from June 13th following the Reception.

Closing date for nominations will be Thursday, 18th of July 2013.
Judging will take place on July 19th with selections made on July 22nd. Due to the Governor's compressed schedule it is unlikely that there will be any extensions this year so please do keep these dates in mind for timely submissions.

Thursday 25th July 2013 will be the Governor’s Award Reception at the Governor’s Residence. The award categories this year include: Commercial Design, Residential Design, Environmentally friendly Design and Green Design.
